What was the best thing about the exchange?

• That we have learnt how people in England live, eat and all those things. A thing I liked a lot was that we had a lot of freedom when we were visiting different places.
• Just being with the English people was very fun. The best was hanging around at the party with them and going bowling and eating with them the last day.

What was the most difficult aspect of the experience?

• The first time I saw my exchange I didn't know what to do, give her two kisses, a hug...
• Going to bed early was very strange but at the end I got used to it.
• Having to speak in English for a week.

Describe the food that your host family prepared for you.

• DELICIOUS! I liked nearly everything they prepared, mainly the flapjacks the mother prepared.
• I have to admit I was really surprised with the food my host family prepared for me. They didn't give me anything I didn't like and apart from giving me the things I liked most, I also tried new food such as Chinese food or traditional English food.

What new English words did you learn?

• I learned that people use "how come" quite a lot instead of "why".

What would you say to younger pupils who are thinking of going on the exchange in the future?

• Don't worry about who are you paired up with in the exchange, all the people are nice. Also, don't be shy, you will have fun.
• You may be afraid of not getting along with your exchange and the family being very different to yours because at the end of the day you are going to spend most of your day with your friends. You are also going to make tons of new friends.
