The Basque government-approved music school, Aiete Musika Eskola, offers music classes in the school for pupils and adults.

Children aged three to six follow an introductory programme after which they can go on to study woodwind, wind-metal, string, percussion, and polyphonic (piano, guitar) instruments, among others. The classes are taught through Spanish or Basque by teachers who aim to infect their enthusiasm for music as well as teach the necessary technical skills.

There are several musical groups in the School:

  • Choir
  • Wind Ensembles
  • String Ensemble
  • Guitar ensemble
  • Modern music band
  • Chamber music ensemble

Concerts are performed at the school and at other venues: the Town Hall, Zorroaga Foundation, Plaza de la Constitution, Victoria Eugenia Gardens, etc.

The piano pupils take part in regional piano competitions, often winning awards at the annual Piano Jaialdi (Andoain) and San Sebastian International Piano Competitions.
