29 pupils from Secondary 3 had the opportunity to visit England for a week from the 6th to the 14th March. During their stay they visited Salisbury cathedral, HMS Victory and the Spinnaker Tower at Portsmouth, the city of Winchester and the Titanic exhibition at Southampton. They also gained an insight into teaching —and learning— in the UK in a Drama and Maths classes at the school.
On the coldest March day for 30 years, they toured London on the Monday with a guide from Thornden, taking in the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Covent Gardens, the Tower of London, the Globe Theatre and the London Eye.
We now await the visit of the Thornden group at the end of May.
